Social Media Intern
The Social Media Intern, under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer, is responsible for assisting in the development and execution of the brand’s social media content. The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage the company's social media channels such as: Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. We envision that this individual will be self-starting in regards to taking steps in forming and growing our social media presence, and growing as a professional. The internship duration is August 31, 2020-December 11, 2020.
Assist in planning and scheduling monthly social media content.
Creatively plan and execute content development: plan mini photoshoots, or utilizing existing assets to develop new and fresh content.
Communicate new trends and best practices within social media.
Monitor, manage and foster community engagement via: Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
Provide social customer service via Facebook Messages/Chat, Instagram Direct Messages, Twitter Direct Messages, and Tweets on a daily basis.
Scouting for new social media partnerships and collaborations.
Develop and strategize contests and/or giveaways.
Must post to all social media pages at least five times each week
Create monthly social media analytics reports.
Skills & Requirements:
Knowledge of social media management platforms
Basic understanding of social media channels and best times to post
Ability to grow and foster social media communities
Ability to manage and prioritize work
Self-starter and initiator
Understanding of what content works for specific social sites in addition to understanding channel demographic
Strong understanding of social media advertising is a plus but not required
Create engaging blog and social media content.
Assist in the general distribution of press releases and media alerts.
Provide support to our marketing team at live and online events.
